Flucht ins Dunkel (Escape in the Dark) is a 1939 German film about two chemists and World War I veterans. Gildemeister, who withdrew from his comrades at the front, is thought to be dead. After the war ended, Engelbrecht used Gildemeister's savings to save and take over the company they used to work for. The film unfolds into a drama of intrigue and sabotage.
