“Jakko” is the story of a troubled youth, apprenticed to a traveling circus, who eventually finds comradeship, acceptance and the "correct" path to life in the Hitler Youth Marine. It is an idealized picture of a youth that was the example of what youth were supposed to be like and what the new leadership desired.
The movie emphasizes harmony between classes vs class struggle in Hollywood’s productions. The film presents the alternative to contemporary youth’s life choices and agenda. Very similar to the soviet youth movies.
