The May Festival (Maifestspiele) in Vienna's Stadium on May 21-22, 1932, organized by the ASKÖ (Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association), was a massive socialist spectacle showcasing Austrian Social Democracy's power, featuring a historical revue and large worker delegations, directed by Stephan Hock and often mistakenly credited to Pál Fejös. It was part of the broader European Worker Sport movement, a socialist counter-culture promoting equality, far larger in scale than the contemporary IOC Olympics.
