The Dance with the Emperor’ is one of those types of historical costume films in which the atmosphere of an era is captured as precisely as possible with great effort. The film is quite skillfully shot and has a wealth of gorgeous scenes. The film is also consistently satisfying in terms of acting. Marika Rökk is stellar as always.
