The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (digital quality, 4K)
Münchhausen is a lavish, Technicolor German fantasy film from UFA and answer to the Wizard of Oz. It was released during WWII, featuring Hans Albers as the legendary Baron telling tales of his fantastical adventures (moon travel, Venice, Constantinople, meeting Catherine the Great) to entertain guests, a story framed by a modern-day Baron entertaining others with the legendary Baron's exploits, using stunning visual effects to transport viewers through fantasy while subtly echoing themes of German strength and destiny.

Munchhausen is among the greatest achievements in the history of film. This lavish, impudent, adult fairy tale takes the viewer from 18th-century Braunschweig to St. Petersburg, Constantinople, Venice, and then to the moon using ingenious special effects and stunning location shooting.
