Brennendes Geheimnis (The Burning Secret) is a 1933 German drama film about a 12-year-old boy, Edgar, on holiday with his mother in Switzerland. He befriends a stylish baron who uses Edgar's admiration to gain the attention of his mother, which leads to Edgar feeling betrayed and growing up quickly. The film is an adaptation of the novella of the same name by Stefan Zweig.
