"Die Kleine und die Große Liebe" (The Little and the Great Love) is a 1938 romantic comedy-drama film about a stewardess, Erika Berghoff, who falls in love with a passenger, Dr. Bordam, who turns out to be a prince traveling anonymously and already engaged.
National socialist’s version of Hollywood’s Cinderella story loosely resembles Edward VIII’s affair. Jenny Jugo is a charmer. Excellent shots of pre-war Portofino. The episode with military maneuvers near Portofino clearly alludes to the approaching war.
