The movie promotes the “Volksgemeinschaft” (People’s Community) Ideal: The core conflict relies on local rural boys fighting the visiting city boys. By overcoming their differences to catch a real criminal threat, the two groups unite. This mirrors the National Socialist concept of Volksgemeinschaft—breaking down regional, class, or geographic divides to merge all German citizens into one monolithic, obedient collective.
