Das andere Ich (The Other Me) is a 1941 German romantic comedy film about a young woman, Magdalena, who takes on two jobs at the same company, one day and one night shift, and invents a twin sister to cover for the dual role. The engineer she works for falls in love with her "Lena" persona while disliking Magdalena, leading to a complicated situation where she must maintain the facade as company security investigates fraud and possible espionage.
Another excellent screwball comedy. A showcase for Hilde Krahl acting talent. She completely enchants. Hilde Krahl mastered a woman’s type that makes a man melt. Reminds Barbara Stanwyck- one of the few talented actresses in Hollywood.
