Excellent musical numbers, “politically incorrect” (black face).

The Flower of Hawaii (Die Blume von Hawaii) is a musical-comedy film directed by Richard Oswald, based on Paul Abraham's 1931 hit jazz operetta of the same name (which was inspired by the last queen of Hawaii, Liliʻuokalani).
Attractive Susanne, who works as a cigarette-girl in a Parisian cabaret, doesn’t know, that, in reality, she’s an Hawaiian princess. The American attache Stone is in love with her and follows her after agents of the Hawaiian liberation movement lure her to Hawaii to marry the prince. The American governor of Hawaii, Harrison, wants to marry off the prince to his niece Bessy for political considerations. But Bessy loves Harrison’s secretary Buffy. Mekka-lekka-hi, Mekka-hiney-ho, everyone.
Excellent musical numbers, “politically incorrect” (black face).
