Wir Machen Musik (We Make Music) is a 1942 German musical comedy film about a composer, Paul, who struggles with the public's rejection of his operas while his wife, Anni, achieves success as a songwriter. Their marriage faces professional conflicts, with Paul initially having a dishonorable approach to earning a living and Anni secretly selling his popular songs. Another gem directed by the great Helmut Käutner. Exceptional production values, acting, script and dialogs. Some of the dialog between the two leads is really heartwarming. The music number at the end of the movie is very impressive.
