The creative/original costume/mask dance/music/singing scene at the end of the movie is stunning.

The 1940 film Kleider machen Leute (Clothes Make the Man) is a German comedy-drama about Wenzel, a tailor who is fired but allowed to keep a fancy frock he made for himself. He puts on the frock and is mistaken for a nobleman upon his arrival in a new town, which leads to him being showered with admiration and falling in love with a high-born young woman named Nettchen. Directed by Helmut Käutner and starring Heinz Rühmann, the film is based on the 1874 novella by Gottfried Keller.
