My Son, the Minister (forbidden by Allied military censorship)

Liebe muss verstanden sein (Love Must Be Understood) is a 1933 German musical comedy about a secretary, Margit, who accidentally creates a series of misunderstandings when she tries to cover up a mistake with her boss's money. She is supposed to deposit a sum of money for her boss, but she delays, and when she finally travels to follow him to a business deal in Dresden, she walks into the wrong hotel room and is mistakenly photographed with the inventor of a remote control.
Excellent musical comedy classic. Lots of witty humor and slapstick a la Hal Roach. Jewish actress Rosy Barsony is stellar. Her career was ended by the National Socialists. It was a big loss for the German cinema.
