Der Ammenkönig" (1935), also known as “The Wet-Nurse King” or “The Valley of Love," is a German comedy about a Markgraf (count) named Heinrich XXVI who bathes in the springs of Ammendorf to enhance his virility. The town is well known for the many couples with lots of children, who, for tax reasons, live there unmarried. The town's blacksmith, known for his vitality, helps the countess ensure the count has an heir.
